To teach viewers the basic facts about the lead up to the Large Hadron Collider, its physics, the ATLAS experiment and accelerator.


This e-tour is an on-line virtual lesson with four main parts: "Introduction," "Physics," "Experiment," and "Accelerator."
Target audience: General Public
"Introduction" e-tour:
Provides a brief intro to particle physics and the lead up to the creation of the LHC. Includes an overview of the people involved in the ATLAS collaboration.
Physics e-tour:
Review the fundamental particles and forces known today.
Describe the mysteries of particle physics that ATLAS will explore.
"Experiment" e-tour:
Provides general information about detectors, and then talks specifically about the ATLAS detector.
"Accelerator" e-tour:
Introduces learning to high energy physics accelerators
