Carolin is a scientific employee at DESY's Astroparticle Physics division. Her responsibility is support for education in the field of astroparticle physics and enable young people to work like scientists. She builds experiments to let them explore cosmic particles.

She finds that physics is great: it explains the world to us, is challenging, requires creativity and is very exciting and satisfying. It is often a team effort across all border.

She is also responsible for yearly organisation of International Cosmic Day and since 2017 she has been serving as a coordinator of one of IPPOG Flagship activities: “Global Cosmics”.
