Beatrice Bressan
Former Executive Director of GGateway an IT Social Enterprise in Gaza, Palestine, which she successfully helped develop as a spinoff of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Beatrice Bressan is the Global the Chief Executive Officer of the Challenges Forum (GCF) Foundation and the Executive Advisor of Lynkeus.
Having served in a series of executive and operation managerial roles internationally in over 25 years of professional career, she is an expert consultant for enterprises, associations, and organisations, with experience in business development and social business, public relations and strategic communications, mediation and negotiation.
She holds a M.Sc. in Mathematical Physics at Rome University (SAPIENZA) and a Master in Science Communication (MCS) at Trieste International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), Italy. She obtained a Ph.D. in Physics with an interdisciplinary thesis and a postdoctoral fellowship in Technology Transfer and Knowledge Management at Helsinki University (YLIOPISTO), Finland, within the research programmes of the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN), Switzerland, where she continues her engagement as the Outreach Coordinator for the Total Cross Section, Elastic Scattering and Diffraction Dissociation of the Large Hadron Collider (TOTEM) experiment and as the Project Leader of the Middle East Solar Hydrothermal Advanced Reactor Project for Biological Waste Management (SHARP).
As member of the Italian Union of Scientific Italian Journalists (UGIS), the European Union of Science Journalists’ Associations (EUSJA), and the Italian Press Association (ODG), she has written on a wide range of subjects, and authored or edited several internationally distributed books. Her volumes of poetry have been awarded several times (Poeti nella Società and Roma Arte e Scienza) and translated into different languages, including Arabic.
