Sabine Hemmer

Sabine is a technologist at the Padova division of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). After a PhD in neutrino physics and a few years of research in physics education, she is now head of the local External Funds Service that supports researchers in the preparation of proposals for national and international calls for research funds. She also coordinates the division's outreach and communication activities, ranging from projects for school students over public engagement activities up to coordinating the division's webpage team.

What she loves most about her work is bringing together researchers and students: seeing the researchers' passion and the students get excited and enthusiastic about something they didn't even know existed is the best reward for her work!

Sabine is also a national coordinator of INFN's OCRA project (https://web.infn.it/OCRA/) and serves as co-coordinator of IPPOG's "Global Cosmics Group".
