A Beamline For Schools – 10th edition
Let's start this new year with a wonderful announcement: the international competition "Beamline for Schools" is now in its 10th edition!
BL4S is an ideal opportunity to expose today’s cutting-edge physics to tomorrow’s scientists. The competition began in 2014 to celebrate CERN’s 60th Anniversary and had already nine successful runs

What is Beamline for schools?
It is an international opportunity, organised by CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (Switzerland) and DESY, (Germany), for high school students from all over the world to take part in a scientific competition without equal.
Participating teams must propose a scientific experiment that they want to perform at a particle accelerator.
What do the teams win?
There will be 3 winners of a shortlist of 30 selected teams.
The three teams that prepare the best proposals will win a trip to a particle accelerator facility to perform their experiments at a fully-equipped beamline.
Two teams will perform their experiments at CERN and one at DESY. All prizes, including extra ones, are posted at this link.
