Intro
The Swedish particle physics research activities are centered at universities, with groups working on e.g. the ALICE, ATLAS, and LDMX experiments, as well as astroparticle experiments like XENON, IceCube, Hyper-Kamiokande, as well as substantial activities in theory and phenomenology research. Many groups are very involved in outreach activities with PhD students, postdocs, and faculty members organizing events at museums, giving guided tours at CERN, Masterclasses for high school students, etc. Our goals is to communicate why particle physics research is important, how it is done, and what benefit it brings to society on both the shorter and the longer time scales.

I enjoy communicating how and why we do research in particle physics, in particular to the younger generation. For me personally, outreach activities give me energy and inspires me because it provides an opportunity to step away from the details of the research and remind me of the bigger perspective.

The Netherlands
Intro
In the Netherlands, (astro)particle physics is coordinated by Nikhef, which is a collaborations between the NWO-I institute for subatomic physics and six universities. Within Nikhef, ~75 technicians and engineers, ~185 physicists and ~25 support staff work together which enables the institute to engage in the design and building of detectors, the analysis of the data from these detectors, and the development of scientific theories. Nikhef has a long history in outreach, with participation in Masterclasses, open days, high school visits, etc. These events are organised by the Nikhef scientists and the communications department. Nikhef was the first organisation signing the IPPOG MoU in 2016.

Spain
Intro
The Spanish particle physics community invests a sizable effort in science outreach and promotion. Most research institutions and universities in this field carry out numerous activities, both at local level and national level. The coordination of national activities is a responsibility of the National Center for Particle, Astroparticle and Nuclear Physics (CPAN) which centralizes and manages outreach initiatives.
Both from CPAN and from the centers themselves, there is a steady participation in all the important European events and activities such as the Science Week, the European Night of Researchers, and various IPPOG masterclasses, as well as other initiatives such as "The CPAN in High Schools” a series of seminars in high schools from which thousands of students throughout Spain benefit every year.
