This year, the masterclasses in Mororcco are organised by the Laboratory of Nuclear Physics (LNPR) which was created in the 70s, the Nuclear Physics Laboratory (LPNR) is a research facility of the University Mohammed V in Rabat, one of the biggest university in the country where each year about 10,000 graduates are trained annually in 85 different disciplines.
Initially the LPNR had a neutron generator accelerator of 14 MeV, T-400, from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This accelerator was largely used to cross sections measurements of nuclear reactions neutron activation which are of paramount importance to the industry.
Now, the laboratory is involved in several experimental thematic research, pursued in the framework of large international collaborations with major research infrastructure, centers accelerators particles and large telescopes.
