Research & Teaching

The research carried out at the Center for Astroparticles and High Energy Physics (CAPA) of the University of Zaragoza focuses on particle physics, astroparticles, cosmology and astrophysics, theoretical and experimental aspects.

The core of the center is made up of professors and researchers from the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Faculty of Sciences. There exist strong connections with the Canfranc Underground Laboratory (LSC), and the CEFCA (Centro de estudios de Fisica del Cosmos de Aragon), as well as with other international centers such as CERN, DESY, SISSA, etc.

In addition to the Department of Theoretical Physics, the Physics section of the Faculty of Sciences has the Departments of Condensed Matter Physics, Applied Physics, and Electronic Engineering and Communications.

The Faculty offers undergraduate studies in Physics, a double degree in Physics-Mathematics, a master's degree in Physics and Physics Technologies, and a master's degree in Physics of the Universe: Cosmology, Astrophysics, Particles and Astroparticles.
