Two physics departments – one being part of Stockholm University, the other being part of Royal Institute of Technology – are both housed next to each other in the AlbaNova University Center.

In the Department of Physics at Stockholm University there are several research groups among which the elementary particle physics Groups.

At the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) there is a group in Experimental Particle Physics.
