The Department of Fundamental Physics at Chalmers University of Technology is involved in basic research in physics, especially at subatomic scales in nuclear physics and elementary particle physics. The department has approximately 25 employees and an international network at leading universities, particularly in Europe and North America. The experimental research is conducted primarily at CERN in Geneva and at GSI in Darmstadt.
