Research in the School of Physics and Technology of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is conducted by 4 main departments, which are department of Nuclear physics and high energy physics, Medical physics and biomedical nano technologies, Reactor materials and physical technologies and Applied physics and plasma physics. The main research areas related to the LHC are crystal channeling in bent crystals (LHC beam collimation and spin precision), CP-symmetry and Higgs boson as well as the search of new particles at the LHC and future electron-positron colliders.
More than 100 students study BSc in “Applied physics and nanomaterials” and MSc in “Experimental nuclear physics and plasma physics”, “Applied physics” and “Medical physics”. Studies include hands-on projects from NSC “KIPT” and other Ukrainian and International scientific research centers. MSc program “Experimental nuclear physics and plasma physics” contains the following specializations: "Theoretical Nuclear Physics"; "Experimental Nuclear Physics" and "Plasma Physics".
We participate in European programs: ENEN, FUSENET.
